Just found a 4 year old pair I thought I'd lost and it was still cutting limp 6lb braid - (admittedly it took a few goes to find the sweet spot and I was cutting quite close to where the braid was pinched between my fingers - but there was no tension on the braid being cut off

Edit - just did the test with my newer shimano scissors and they performed even better
I'll do a proper comparison when my brand new berkleys arrive
