It was tracking straight and there was a fair bit of breeze so it wasnt sinking. But the float does sound like a good idea
The boat weighs 2.5 tonne so I'm thinking something bigger might be required.

It allows slow water passage rather than filling up and a flat face force, otherwise they'd be a flat object than a pocket with a hole of sorts.
Needs to have a hole mate.
