I was a fan of the fireline crystal and have now used the nee ultra 8 in 6lb for a couple of sessions. Like the older stuff its a bit stiff to start with but after a few dozen casts seems to soften up a little. Casts really well and havent had any thrown loops yet.
With the exceed/crystal i used to have trouble with it cutting leader doing a double uni. I used to double it up to increase the knot strength. I seem to not have to do that with this braid and still get great knot strength.
Havent put it through tough tests yet but im thinking its going to hold up as well or better than the older stuff.
