Awesome... Missed that one. Sorry!

I have completed my Survey.
Urge everyone to spend 15-20min and have their say.

Net fishing have devestated our fish populations over the past year with extreme flooding and the fish not standing a chance when flushed out of the rivers.
I was on the water sunday and there was 5 pro netters on oyster harbour. 1.5km of nets each, 6 days a week, 45km of nets per week wrapped around my childhood fishery. This is a worst case scenario as there are 25 professional licenses to fish Oyster harbour.
Stop the massacre

25 that's insane, Oyster harbour is not that big. Completed my survey. Dowelly you might have to run for state government.

Gday Nigel,
Wouldn't be able to handle the politics!

Done.

As a new resident of Albany its shocking to learn there are that many pro netters out there. Seems excessive. Not sure how sustainable it could possibly be.

I completed my survey last week.
Things need to change, hopefully for the long term and not short term.

I think that currently, a fair majority of WA systems need a good preservation system set in place for a good amount of time, it's not until we go too far that we will find out these systems can't handle all the combined pressure, so let's start with something we can control..
