Best line

The last couple of years i've been using sunline super pe but i thought i might try something else, i'm looking for something around the same price in 14 to 16 lb ... Thinner the better
Any help would be great

I have been using DUEL HARDCORE X8 (8 strand) in PE 0.8 . It breaks at 16lb. I have sunline (orange one) in PE0.8 as well on one of my reels and this on the rest. THe Duel is way smoother (in my opinion) . At 0.153mm diameter its pretty thin. I bought more than I needed on my last order from Japan so if you wanted to try one out I can send you a 150m spool for $32 posted. Its white. I'll be off on hols from the 25th so if you wanted some send a PM today or tomorrow. Cheers. Craig

+1 on the Duel Hardcore X8. After trying it a few years back, I won't use anything else these days.

We also use the Duel hardcore x 8 in about 15LB and above and find it smooth and very thin. In lines below 15LB we find the Duel armoured F+Pro which is like fireline only on steroids. Both are purchased OS on price and availability.

Is this the new siglon stuff or the Super PE8?

Have been thoroughly impressed with Varivas sea bass max power tracer in pe 0.8 (16.7lb). It's a bit expensive, but brilliant line and love that it's in a high-vis green colour

I recently spooled my certate 2510 with Majorcraft Dangan 8 (16lb from memory) strand braid and so far I'm very impressed. Super thin and casts great.

Also have Sunline Siglon 8 on another spool and equally as good but I feel the Dangan is easier to tie as it doesn't feel as slippery.

I know its very expensive but does anyone use Megabass Dragon call ? .. I purchased a reel from this forum years ago and it came with this line .. it's good DohDohDohDoh

Yeah, I feel there is.
Just doesn't seem to have the same nice feel of the old Super PE n PE8.
Although I havent put it on a reel.
Been watching this thread for ideas as its time to replace a few spools and not really liking whats on my locals walls.
Suffix 832 is another I've tried n was a fan of, but found it faded fast and was a little thicker than I'd otherwise like.
Seems the Hardcore is the go for its similarity to my much loved Super

Sunline castaway on the majority of my reels. Can't fault it
